Written plainly, because you are trusting us with something that matters.

Nothing on this site requires an account, and you can read every memorial page without giving us anything.
If you ask us to make a tribute, you email us your pet's details and a photograph. We keep that email and what you sent in it, because it is how we make the tile and the page.
If you sign up to be told when someone shares a memory, we store your name and email address. We also record the moment you gave permission — the date and time, which page you were on, your IP address and your browser — so that we can always show exactly when and how you agreed. That record is kept permanently and cannot be edited, including by us.
If you leave a memory on a page, we store what you wrote and the name you gave. Nothing appears publicly until a person has read and approved it.
We do not use advertising trackers, and nothing here follows you to any other website.
We do count which pages are visited, because we need to know whether any of this is reaching people. We use Cloudflare's privacy-first analytics to do it: it sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, does not fingerprint your browser, and cannot tell one visitor from another or recognize you anywhere else. We see that a page was viewed. We do not see who viewed it.
The sign-up form has two checkboxes and they are genuinely independent:
Ticking one never opts you into the other. Leaving one never removes the other. Every email we send carries its own unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing from updates will not stop your memory notifications. The single exception is the confirmation email itself — until you confirm there is nothing to unsubscribe from, so ignoring it is the opt-out.
If you tick the updates box we send you a confirmation email first, and you hear nothing further unless you confirm.
Some day a brand may sponsor a wall or appear as a single line at the foot of an email. If that happens, we send that email to you. Your address is never handed to the sponsor, and no advertiser ever receives our list, sees it, or is given access to it.
We also wait. Nothing promotional reaches you in the first month after a memorial is created, and nothing carrying a sponsor's name reaches you for three months. That is enforced in our software, not left to memory.
A pet's memorial — their name, portrait, dates and the memories people leave — is meant to last. We do not delete it, and that is the promise the whole project rests on.
Your own contact details are a separate matter and are yours to control. Ask us and we will erase your name, email address and marketing preferences from our records. Your pet's page stays exactly as it is.
If you would rather a memorial page were taken down entirely, ask us that too and we will talk it through with you.
We keep the number deliberately small:
These are service providers doing a job for us. None of them is given your information to use for their own purposes.
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Write to hello@tribute-tiles.com — to see what we hold about you, to correct it, to have it erased, or just to ask a question. A person reads it and replies, usually within a day.
